Is he heavyset, thin, short, rangy? Bruce is by no means frail, but he is relatively small sized for a human - both height and weight wise he tends to be a bit under average. The height is because of how he is, his weight because he's used to just getting by with the bare minimum; a combination of his life in the Circle and the years spent on the run from them. Of course, his preference to wearing looser, baggier clothes only makes him look even lankier than he actually is. ② How old is he? 33. He sometimes act like he's older than that, and at other times... much, much younger. ③ Describe his posture. Does he carry himself well, or does he slouch? Bruce carries himself as a person who doesn't want to be seen; the keyword here is avoidance. He'll make himself small, try to keep himself out of sight, anything until Bruce feels like he's not walking with a target on his back. Right from when he first manifested his magic Bruce has seen just how much magic and mages are to be feared, and he simply does not want to be noticed in any way. But with that said, once Bruce is close to somebody he changes quite a bit. When he can trust people he relaxes a lot more, although the inclination to avoid is still there. The best way to know is to see how he talks with you - if he starts to respond with witty remarks or let loose his dry sense of humor, that's when you know Bruce is warming up to you as a person. When he's with people he's comfortable with his confidence takes a boost, and it'll show through quite visibly. ④ How is his health? Is he fit or out of shape? Any illnesses or conditions? Any physical disabilities? Bruce's health is as good as it can be, for somebody who's literally gone around all of Thedas and back. He's not exactly fit, however, given his inclination to not work out or fight at all, so his stamina still isn't the best - although it does recover quickly. He's got no real disabilities beyond the numerous scars on his torso and the one on his belly. The one real condition he has is the lyrium present in his blood - direct contact/exposure to it can be as bad as being exposed to raw, unprocessed lyrium itself. ⑤ How does he move? Is he clumsy, graceful, tense, fluid? Depends on the situation. If he's being chased Bruce knows how to escape the best he can, moving faster than he usually would and being a lot more agile. After all when there are things on the line you're always much more motivated. Otherwise, he usually walks in a way that's clearly trying to make himself small - head bowed, and shoulders slightly hunched. With the demon, however, he's about as subtle as a Qunari in a store. A very strong and very durable Qunari. ⑥ How attractive is this character physically? How does he perceive himself in the mirror? He's attractive in his ruffled, stubbly, awkward way. Bruce barely pays any attention to his looks beyond the question of 'if people can recognize him' since that's all that matters to him, so he doesn't care much for it. But if people point out anything about his looks to him Bruce will be pretty awkward about it - especially if its a compliment of sorts. ⑦ Describe his complexion: dark, light, clear, scarred? Tanned from all the time he spent under the sun. His torso's also decorated with scars that stem from many encounters out in Thedas, and a particularly ugly one running down his belly that speaks of his past. His hands also have burn marks from them from brewing accidents and such. ⑧ Describe his hair: color, texture, style. Dark brown, vaguely messy-looking but actually curls at the ends. It's soft to the touch, a bit like petting a cat. (And as a sidenote, Bruce really likes headpats. Not that he will ever let anybody know unless he's somehow in a romantic relationship with them.) ⑨ What color are his eyes? Brown as himself, and green when the demon takes over. When he transforms, the first and last thing to change are always the eyes. ⑩ Does the character have any other noteworthy features? He is very hairy. His chest hair in particular is something to look at. Also see the mention of scars above. ⑪ What are his chief tension centers? ANSWER. ⑫ What is the character's wardrobe like? Casual, dressy, utilitarian? Bright colors, pastels, neutrals? Is it varied, or does he have six of the same suit? ANSWER. ⑬ Do his clothes fit well? Does he seem comfortable in them? ANSWER. ⑭ Does he dress the same on the job as he does in his free time? If not, what are the differences? ANSWER. ⑮ You knew it was coming: what kind of underwear does he wear, if any? ANSWER. ⑥ Is he a good impromptu speaker, or does he have to think about his words? ANSWER. ⑦ Is he eloquent or inarticulate? Under what circumstances might this change?
